Hole It's All Over Now, Baby Blue Album: n/a
Genres: Alternative
It’s a brave -- or foolish -- musician that covers Dylan, as Courtney Love and Co. prove here. |

An odd, listless tambourine filip sounds intermittently throughout this baroque revamping of Dylan’s classic, and it’s kind of fun to try figuring out when it’s going to show up next. At least it keeps your mind off Courtney Love’s affected tuff-girl screech; she seems to be attempting to Dylan-ify her voice while the band carries out an elaborate alt-rock arrangement. If you’re just dying to hear a cover of this song, you’d do miles better with the version recorded by Them and Van Morrison way back in 1966.

I love this cover- and I actually think that it's better than the original.

I THINK JACKIE McCARTHY IS BEING TOO TOUGH ON HOLE. It's a great song & anytime Dylan gets exposed to a new generation has to be seen as a plus.
