If you're looking to get your swerve on, you won't do much better than "Pitch In On A Party." Compton's multiplatinum producer/rapper knows how to pack a dancefloor, as this party anthem -- equal parts live, funky soul and programming -- so clearly proves. Keeping things light and humorous, Quik breaks down the upside and downside to entertaining at home. Sure, you get your pick of hoes, but you also run the risk of raggedy-ass guests drinking up all your good booze, getting naked in inappropriate places, leaving empties and cig burns all over the place. Then there's the cops, who just love to bust up a good shindig. Still, he doesn't try too hard to sway us from throwing such a soiree. His easy, breezy groove is so infectious and playful that by jam's end, you're ready to start making the guest list.
