DJ Greyboy provides the smooth beats as a backdrop for tenor man Karl Denson's bebop sax on "Unwind Your Mind." Backed by audience applause, we're eased into the track by an emcee inviting us to "Set back now, relax, let your miiiiind unwind. . ." But before we're able to ooze down into our seats for a nice mellow head-bobbing sesh, we're roused by the battle cry: "We're gonna get foooonkay!" and we're off. Karl's saxwork is like buttah, baby. Close your eyes, and when you open them again, you'll be surprised to find yourself in your living room instead of some acid-jazz club in a basement somewhere in the hippest part of San Francisco. This track takes you back to the rebirth of cool and it'll be all you can do to keep from asking the sexiest cat or kitten in the room if they'd be interested in a martini or two. Can ya dig it?

Yeah, now this is good stuff! Some funky grooves mixed in with a hint of jazz for all you neo-funk / acid-jazz fans out there. Denson can put some serious air behind that horn, and he adds a real nice flavor to this tune. good stuff.
