	The Brian Jonestown Massacre upped the stakes dramatically upon signing to TVT Records in 1997. Their seventh CD (and the first for the label), Strung Out In Heaven, offers a better produced version of what the Jonestown boys do best: '60s inspired garage pop with a heavy dose of '90s cynicism. This offering will evoke some Velvet Underground/Dylan comparisons and I suppose there may even be a few who will hear shades of "Abigail's Ghost" from Green On Red.
