Koko Taylor Blues Hotel (feat. B.B. King) Album: Royal Blue
Genres: Blues
A smokin' raver from Koko's new album, with B.B. King coming along to join the festivities. These folks may be on in years, but they sure know how to party! |

It's been seven years since Koko Taylor's last album, but Royal Blue proves that the Queen of the Blues hasn't lost a step in her time away from the studio. "Blues Hotel," a standout track from the album, finds the Queen in a smokin' duet with none other than B.B. King, who also contributes some of his silky guitar leads to the festivities. Though the establishment they're singing about (where you can "party all night") sounds like some long-gone landmark on L.A.'s Central Avenue, Koko and B.B. sing like they're fixin' to head over there in about five minutes; one listen to B.B.'s lusty shouts of "Let's party!", and you'll be kickin' off your shoes and calling room service for a jug of homebrew.
