Avail C. Days Album: One Wrench
Genres: Punk
Loud and fast has always ruled, and Avail knows it. |

Maybe it's the bass riff that opens the song, straight from "Meddle" by Pink Floyd, or the guitar screech that comes next -- a direct cop from "Iron Man" by Sabbath, but whatever it is, Avail is not your run of the mill punk rock band. "C. Days" is an exercise both in overkill and restraint -- it goes from over-the-top slamming to a single bass line in seconds, and the dynamics of such a move make this song a cut above the rest in the punk rock jungle. Granted, you can't understand half of what singer Tim Barry is yelling about, but hey, that's half the fun, ain't it?
