“Life Size Mirror” reflects a fine image of punk muscle married to alt-rock attitude. The riffs are hard, but the quirky melody and crystal-clear vocals make this a track that could definitely get plenty of play on alternative radio. It’s clear why No Use For A Name guitarist Chris Shiflett was tapped to join Foo Fighters, as this track recalls some of the Fighters’ best, most raucous moments. Still, it retains enough punk thrash and sass to remain credible with the Maximum Rock N Roll crowd, so in a sense, No Use For A Name get to have their cake and eat it, too. A worthy track for fans of both genres.
