"Ground Zero" is a fun song, but I'm not really sure it's meant to be. This is metal, brother, make no bones about it. The riffs are brutal and the leads are slicing, the rhythm section is pounding and unrelenting, and vocalist James Santiago has a mean set of pipes on him. Coming to grips with certain demons of his past -- particularly those of an intoxicant nature -- Santiago faces his ghosts and admits the "reflections are as painful as my memories." Heavy stuff and very evocative, but still … from the nifty "William Shatner/Captain Kirk" sample that opens the tune to the demonic growling that closes it, "Ground Zero" is just lots of fun. In other words, it rocks big time, and even the first run-through causes a stirring in those neck muscles that are usually reserved for headbanging to AC\DC or Motorhead. An ass-kicking young band well worth your attention!

cool pre-song voice overs. awesome music, but I think the constipated-sounding vocals will have to go. He should stick to his regular voice, its much better. otherwise, this song rocks.
