Cracker Low (Live) Album: n/a
Genres: Alternative,Rock
David Lowery's probably sung it ten thousand times, but this gutsy live version proves that Cracker's biggest hit has aged better than most relics from the alternative era. |

How many times has David Lowery had to sing this song? At this point, he probably has nightmares about being chased by evil dwarves who taunt his every move with cries of, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's like being stoned!" Still, the man gives it his all on this live rendition, recorded in February at LA's House of Blues. It sounds pretty similar to the original version, though Lowery's hoarser vocals and Johnny Hickman's bloody-fingered leads give it an added sense of desperation, proving the rule (which I just made up) that it's always best to catch a band a few years before they make it big or a few years after they've begun their slide down the ladder.
