	Has the rap/rock genre been played out? With Kid Rock et al riding higher than ever the answer is emphatically no. Even the Red Hot Chili Peppers, perhaps the grandfathers of the genre, are sittin’ on top of the world. Which brings us to Downset, another band who get old school props, while gearing up to ride -- and cash in on -- a wave that they helped create. But don’t confuse “Together” with Kid Rock’s good time, party-boy shenanigans. This is true, hardcore, headbanging metal that has packs as much hip-hop cred as downtown neighbors Cypress Hill. If you love Rage, and think that Kid Rock is a @#$%^, you’re gonna dig “Together.” Just watch out you don’t get whiplash in the pit.
