Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Red Right Hand Album: Scream Soundtrack
Genres: Alternative
The only possible excuse for not downloading this classic Cave jam right this sec is … well, there IS no excuse. In a stellar supernova where Clint Eastwood, Johnny Cash, and Tom Waits collide, the only survivor is a mysterious stranger with a “Red Right Hand.” |

Wow! What can one say about this deep and haunting masterpiece from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ 1994 album “Let Love In” except -- grab it now! Wonderful and wicked, “Red Right Hand” is perhaps the most famous song in the Cave set list -- laymen will recognize it from high-profile appearances on the X-Files and Scream soundtracks – converts know it as “the fourth song in the set,” the one guaranteed to bring the house down. Shades of gunslinger ballads of the west run throughout this story of a mysterious man in black, whose identity is hidden in Cave’s craftily constructed lyrical latticework -- “He’s a ghost / He’s a god / He’s a man / He’s a guru.” Yep. If you aren’t hip to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, yet, you’re in for a treat. “Red Right Hand” is the perfect Nick Cave primer.
