Face To Face Disappointed Album: Reactionary
Genres: Punk
Raging punk rhythm backs famous So-Cal punks Face to Face on this very cool paean to something we can all relate to -- those pesky dashed dreams. “Disappointed” proves that the rumors of punk’s death have been greatly exaggerated. |

Existential and angst ridden, here’s a track that proves there’s more left of the original So-Cal punk scene than those silly “punk” ditties that infest modern rock radio. On “Disappointed,” a really refreshing journey into fed-up nihilism (ahhhhhh, I was missing some good nihilism) and the “overrated expectations” of relationships, Face to Face does a great job raising punk’s black flag once again. The song is underscored and driven home by an aggressive, though lyrical rhythm section and a really searing vocal performance. Here’s a reason to celebrate… cool punk music’s not dead after all! Now I wouldn’t call that disappointing.
