	Those of you who've seen last year's acclaimed film, Magnolia, will know what we mean when we say it was a bit of a quirky flick. So it's only fitting that this track off the film�s soundtrack, by the equally acclaimed songstress Aimee Mann, is pretty quirky in and of itself. Mann exhibits a real flair for the dramatic, mixing flamboyant guitars, cabaret-style horns and sly piano into an off-beat song ready-made for the Broadway stage. But like the best show tunes, "Momentum" keeps the quirk-factor under strict control, and the song comes off as colorful and vibrant instead of over-the-top. Hats off to Mann for yet another job well done.
