The Corrs Breathless Album: In Blue
Genres: Pop
Ireland's favorite rockers try to spice up their standard contemporary pop -- and come up with standard contemporary pop. |

Since forming in 1991, the Irish band the Corrs have been blending Celtic influences into their contemporary pop and rock songs. On this track from its 2000 release, In Blue, the quartet continues to personalize its take on standard contemporary pop with little splashes from the homeland: A jiggish rhythm introduces the song, as keyboard notes trill like an Irish fiddler. Well-placed vocal harmonies elevate the track slightly above the average radio cut. But for the most part, "Breathless" is just your standard contemporary pop fare. Check it out if your favorite pop radio station is ever out of commission.

As all the Corrs music, I loved it. They have a bit of a different style on this one. "Breathless" is a wonderful breath of fresh air from what is out there in pop music today. As always, the Corrs are a joy to listen to and I always look forward to future cd's and videos.
