Emptyhead's MUSICBLITZ Exclusive track, "7 Minutes," seems to have been named for its length -- it's almost exactly seven minutes long. The length works in the song's favor, though, giving Emptyhead plenty of time to stretch out a lush soundscape that's both driving and atmospheric. The rhythms have a very mechanistic, industrialized feel -- it's not industrial rock (a lá Ministry), but it's got that same high-tech, "rivets and girders" kind of feel. Where industrial rock would be all anger and rage over the beats, though, "7 Minutes" lays down a mix of atmospheric sounds -- a haunting piano line, lush synths, chimes, and even some videogame-like effects. The end result is an extremely cinematic track -- it wouldn't be out of place as background music for a chase through rain-soaked streets in some moody thriller, a lá Seven, or even a futuristic film like Blade Runner or The Matrix. In short, Emptyhead has come up with a perfect combination of mood and movement, making this "7 Minutes" you'll relish.

Emptyhead's music runs the gamut from loud and crazy to soft and soothing. I love listening to it at work, it's a perfect background for my work day.
