MUSICBLITZ Executive Bios

Kevin Nakao, CEO

MUSICBLITZ CEO Kevin Nakao has over 10 years of music industry, Internet and start-up experience. He has recorded and promoted top-selling artists, built award-winning Web sites, generated advertising and e-commerce revenues and developed successful customer acquisition programs. As an executive at MCA Records, 20th Century Fox Music and his own production company, Nakao has identified and developed top-selling recording artists and soundtracks. He has also served as the senior vice president and general manager of Launch, Inc., the first music site to offer personalized music content; and on the executive team at iPrint.com, a leading e-commerce site that dominates the online printing and personalized gifts markets. Nakao holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Bryan Glover, Executive Vice President of Finance and Operations

An entertainment industry veteran with more than 16 years of experience, Glover was formerly vice president and controller of studio operations and senior director of corporate finance for Universal Studios. During that time, he spearheaded a reengineering effort that improved customer service and operational performance in the Theme Park, Motion Pictures, Studio Operations and Music Groups divisions. Prior to his experience at Universal, Glover was a supervising senior auditor with KPMG/Peat Marwick. He holds a CPA and BS from Purdue University.

Bret Moore, Vice President of Product Development

Moore oversees production of the www.MUSICBLITZ.com Web site and the vertical "genre blitz" sites. He is also responsible for developing new music related products and services. Previously, Moore was the general manager of merchandising at Ticketmaster, where he managed e-commerce and direct to consumer merchandising initiatives. During his tenure, Moore led Ticketmaster's Online Mall development project in conjunction with IBM and grew the company's online event merchandising business by an average 54% each month over 12 months. Before Ticketmaster, Moore was a consultant with SRA Corp. for systems integration, networking and database applications engagements. He has an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA.

Mike Mena, Vice President of Artist Development

Mena works with new and established artists to arrange their MUSICBLITZ recording deals. He is also involved in promoting and marketing these projects. Formerly vice president of marketing at EMI/SBK Records, Mena has a strong track record of discovering and signing multi-million selling artists, including Blur and Jesus Jones. Prior to EMI/SBK Records he was the director of alternative marketing for A&M Records, where he achieved number one records with artists such as UB40, Suzanne Vega, Soul Asylum and Iggy Pop. He holds a BA from the New York Institute of Technology.

Rebecca Carroll, Vice President of Marketing

Carroll is responsible for MUSICBLITZ's online and off-line marketing efforts. She previously headed artist development and college marketing efforts for Polygram Music, where she built one of the most successful college marketing teams in the entertainment business. Carroll was also the marketing director for London Records where she ran marketing campaigns for platinum-selling artists, such as The Cranberries, Soundgarden, 311 and Portishead. Carroll holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin.
