MUSICBLITZ AND 21ST CENTURY ARTISTS PRESENT REGGAEBLITZ SUMMERFEST 2000 CONCERT TOUR

Maxi Priest, Toots & the Maytals, Andrew Tosh and Ky-Mani Marley to Headline 21-Date Summer Tour in Support of REGGAEBLITZ All-Stars Compilation CD

LOS ANGELES-July 17, 2000- MUSICBLITZ, a music and technology company that funds artists to record exclusive new music and video content for online and offline distribution, has partnered with 21st Century Entertainment to bring the REGGAEBLITZ Summerfest 2000 tour to 21 U.S. cities during the month of August. Headlined by some of the hottest names in reggae music, the tour is a way for MUSICBLITZ to continue to build the REGGAEBLITZ community and brand by providing fans with an event to celebrate the culture, spirit and community of reggae music.

“REGGAEBLITZ has grown steadily online since its inception in January, and it is now one of the premier Internet destinations for reggae enthusiasts,” commented MUSICBLITZ CEO Kevin Nakao. “It has always been our intention to organically grow the REGGAEBLITZ community both online and offline. Based on suggestions from our REGGAEBLITZ fans, we worked with 21st Century Artists to assemble and promote the stellar line-up for the tour.”

The REGGAEBLITZ All-Stars compilation CD also becomes, in essence, a soundtrack for the event.”

Additionally, the REGGAEBLITZ Summerfest 2000 tour promotes the release of the REGGAEBLITZ All-Stars compilation CD, which will be available through online and land-based retail distribution as part of a partnership with KOCH International. The album contains 16 exclusive new songs from reggae heavyweights including Shabba Ranks, Maxi Priest, Andrew Tosh, Black Uhuru and others. Already gaining momentum, the CD recently debuted at number 22 on the CMJ New World Chart.
