Schleigho
New York-based quartet Schleigho has been gaining popularity in the new music scene during the past two years. Performing mostly instrumental music, Schleigho combines elements of jazz, be-bop, and funk, with an occasional Latin twist. The band is comprised of bassist Matt Rubano, keyboardist Jesse Gibson, drummer/percussionist Erik Egol, and Suke Cerulo on flute, guitar and vocals. In September of 1998, the band followed up their 1995 eponymous release and 1997’s Farewell To the Sun with its third CD, In the Interest of Time. Schleigho has shared the stage with heavyweights Bela Fleck, John Scofield, Galactic, and Maceo Parker (to name a few) and maintains a busy touring and festival performance schedule. |
