Moon Boot Lover
Moon Boot Lover: Fronted by soulful singer/songwriter/guitarist Peter prince, this Woodstock, N.Y.-based group emerged in the wave of post-Phish jam bands in the mid-90s. Their first album, 1994's Outer Space Action, featured a comic book cover and the band's brand of trippy funk; on the second outing, 1996's Live Down Deep, the comic book cover remained, but bassist Jon Hawes replaced Owen Yost, and organist Neal Evans joined Prince and drummer Alan Evans. Prince performed some solo shows during the fall of 1999 while the band took a short hiatus, but Moon Boot regrouped to record a new EP shortly afterward. The band's current lineup is minus the organ and includes drummer Andy Herrick. |
