Enemy An intensely heavy trio with a flair for ultra-melodic songs, Enemy is the brand-spankin'-new brainchild of guitarist/vocalist Troy Van Leeuwen and bassist Eddie Nappi. Van Leeuwen experienced a taste of pop stardom in the mid-'90s with Failure, but the band's 1997 demise left him with the desire to explore new sonic vistas, to "create a band capable of unleashing raw, voracious Rock that still knew how to feel." Erstwhile Handsome member Nappi had similar ideas, and the two slowly began to stockpile songs for their new project, Enemy. Van Leeuwen's role as second guitarist in A Perfect Circle kept him in the studio and on the road for most of 2000, but he and Nappi resumed work as soon as he returned from the Mer de Noms tour. The pair drafted in former Quicksand and Seaweed drummer Alan Cage to complete the Enemy lineup. The band fires its first salvo at an unsuspecting world with "The Treatment," a track presented exclusively by MUSICBLITZ. |
