Dexter Freebish
United by a love for the Beatles, U2, Hendrix, and the Verve, singer Kyle, guitarists Scott Romig and Charles Martin, bassist Chris Martin, and drummer Rob Schilz formed Dexter Freebish in the late '90s. Quickly gaining a following for their pop/alternative sound, the quintet was signed to Capitol early in 1999, and won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest with their first single, "Leaving Town." Their debut full-length, A Life of Saturdays, followed late in 2000. |
