A Perfect Circle In the summer of 2000, A Perfect Circle's Mer de Noms achieved the highest debut chart placement of any new band ever, bowing at #4 on the Billboard charts. Most of the buzz behind this hotly-anticipated project was due to the presence of Tool singer Maynard James Keenan; however, A Perfect Circle is actually the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Billy Howerdel, whose songwriting and flair for creating disturbing soundscapes so impressed Keenan that he begged Howerdel to let him join the band. A Pefect Circle's other members are bassist Paz Lenchantin, guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, and drummer Josh Freese. |
