Land Speed Record “Monster Truck” is the first offering from Land Speed Record, the new solo project of Drugstore drummer Mike Chylinski. With a focus on instrumentals and quiet, late-night songs, Chylinski taps a vein similar to the languid, "midnight melancholia" mined in Drugstore, the trio he founded after viewing the Gus Van Sant film Drugstore Cowboy. Land Speed Record’s four-song EP, On A Racetrack, is paving the way for Chylinski’s full-length solo debut, set for summer. |
