But Scientist (nicknamed for his electronics wizardry) was soon creating dub mixes that rivaled his mentor’s in out-there reorganization of sound. Before he was 20, he'd been snapped up by Channel One Studios, where he became chief engineer. Scientist faced off against Prince Jammy and others on a series of best-selling early-80s dub albums on Greensleeves.
