Groove Armada Jazz musician Andy Cato and club promoter/horn player Tom Findlay shared a love of house music when they met in the mid-'90s. They started their own club night, Groove Armada, then decided to put their sound on vinyl. The duo retired to the dreamy, pastoral setting of the Lake District to record the analog funk of their 1998 debut, Northern Star. Muzik magazine awarded it Record of the Year honors. Groove Armada's second full-length, Vertigo, followed soon after. |
