Rob Swift
Rob Swift started off as a member of NYC DJ quartet The X-men, who changed their name to the X-Ecutioners upon the release of their debut 1997 LP, X-Pressions. Alongside their West Coast peers the Invisible Skratch Piklz, they helped usher in a new era of turntablism, playing their Technics 1200s like instruments and creating a needle-and-wax b-boy symphony. Rob was the first of the crew to release a solo album, 1999’s The Ablist, on which he wears multiple hats as turntablist, producer, and MC. |
