Welcome !
    kd lang
Beginning her career in country music, singer k.d. lang went on to become one of the darlings of adult contemporary pop. The Alberta, Canada-born singer initially gained inspiration from the music of Patsy Cline, which led to the formation of her band, the Reclines, and a few albums which found favor with traditional country audiences (1989's Torch Absolute Torch and Twang won lang a Grammy for Best Country Vocal Performance, Female). In 1992, lang hit Nashville with a double-whammy, first surprising her conservative audience by coming out as a lesbian, and then following the news with the decidedly non-country Ingenue. The album won lang a new audience of adult contemporary pop fans; the record's first single, "Constant Craving," won lang a Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female. After recording the soundtrack to Even Cowgirls Get the Blues in 1993, lang released the underrated All You Can Eat in 1995 and Drag in 1997. She released Invincible Summer in 2000.
