Welcome !
    Shadows Fall
Formed in the mid-‘90s around the burgeoning East Coat metal-core scene, Massachusetts’s Shadows Fall are something of an anomaly. Though the quintet utilizes some of that scene’s accoutrements (e.g., slowly chugging breakdowns), Shadows Fall are above all a metal band, coming much closer to melodic Swedish death metal -- especially the Gothenburg strain of it -- than anything else. The band got its start with their 1998 debut, Somber Eyes to the Sky, which was released on their own Lifeless Records label and then licensed internationally through Belgium’s Genet Records. Word about Shadows Fall spread like wildfire around Europe, and the band immediately hit the road, supporting such notables as Cannibal Corpse and Fear Factory. In the interim, ex-Overcast vocalist Brian Fair, a more dynamic frontman, replaced original vocalist Philip Labonte. As fate would have it, they soon secured an international contract with Century Media and began writing and recording their second album in late ’99. Released in the spring of 2000, Of One Blood has become one the most-hyped albums of the year. Never ones to rest on their laurels, Shadows Fall hit the road for two summer 2000 tours, supporting Dismember, Kataklysm, and Krisiun and King Diamond.

Shadows Fall The First Noble Truth MP3 Metal
Massachusetts' metal gods Shadows Fall tear it up on this awesome single that's equal parts sonic brutality, technical prowess, and melodic finesse. "Truth" is pure catharsis!
