Vader
The first Eastern Block band to be signed to a Western label, Vader made their full-length debut in 1992 with The Ultimate Incantation, released by the legendary Earache Records. Re-tooling the Morbid Angel model of blinding aggression and progression, the album established Vader as one the new death-metal heavyweights. However, the band parted ways with Earache in ’96 and hooked up with Pavement Music, for whom they’d record four studio records, two live ones, and a collection of old demos during the next four years. The new millenium landed Vader a new label, Metal Blade, and a new album, Litany, which was released in the spring of 2000 and is also their strongest effort to date. |

If this track’s metaphorical “wings” were real, they’d be those of a B2 bomber. Awesome in its destructive force!
