Starting out as DJs in the late '80s, Nissim and Perlmutter branched out into production in 1989. They scored their first hit a year later with the single "Monster Mania," recorded as SFX. By 1995, they'd started a couple labels, including Trust in Trance. The label soon became a method for producing compilations, including the Trust in Trance: Psychedelic Vibes series. Volume 1 featured the duo's first work as Astral Projection; Volume 2 put them on the Israeli charts, while Volume 3 broke them in Europe. In 1997, Nissim and Perlmutter abandoned their compilation projects to focus on Astral Projection, releasing Dancing Galaxy that same year. The album went on to become one of the world's best-selling trance albums. Another World followed in 1999.
