Alien Crime Syndicate Alien Crime Syndicate formed in San Francisco after Joe Reineke's previous band, The Meices, called it quits. The band quickly landed a deal and enlisted the help of Gil Norton (The Pixies, Foo Fighters, Catherine Wheel, ad infinitum) to produce. Times being what they are in the music industry, ACS's label folded and the band was dropped. So what's a band to do? Why, head for Seattle, of course! And since half the band is from there anyway, it made perfect sense. Good luck continued to shine on ACS when a friend of the band offered to put out some of the band's music on his indie label, while the ever-legendary Gil Norton-produced gem continues to gather dust. |
