viperHouse Hailing from Burlington, VT, viperHouse are dedicated to bringing the funk old-school style. In the vein of Isaac Hayes’ best soundtrack work, the sextet perform sweeping, orchestral 70’s jazz-funk punctuated by forays into modern-day hip-hop and groove. Comprised of Michael “Elmo” Chorney on alto and baritone saxophones, Rob “Uncle Clive” Morse on acoustic, electric bass, drummer Phil “Huggy” Carr, violinist Karen “Chicago” Quinn, Ray “Mike Dragon” Paczkowski on hammond organ, keys, and Zach “The New Guy” Tonnissen on Tenor Sax, Flute, viperHouse has a reputation for raging live shows. ViperHouse releases include their eponymous debut, the live Ottowa, Shed, and 2000’s Lap Hen. |
