Manik D) of Oxford, Rareform came together in 1997. May had already been MCing at Oxford's drum 'n' bass clubs like Source and Metro, and he and Robinson looked to Rareform as a means to get their musical vision -- focused around drum 'n' bass and breakbeats -- down in vinyl form.
