Overkill
Formed in 1984 by vocalist Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth and guitarist Bobby Gustafson, New York’s Overkill become leaders in the American thrash metal scene. Known for it’s savage approach, the group is currently comprised of Ellsworth, longtime bassist D.D. Verni, drummer Tim Mallare and guitarist Dave Linsk. The band hit its stride critically with 1991’s Horrorscope, and has since dropped W.F.O. (1994), Fuck You And Then Some (1996), Necroshine (1999) and Bloodletting (2000).
