Welcome !
    R. Kelly
A Chicago native who’s been in the R&B game for going on a decade, Robert Kelly has used plenty of hip-hop tricks and a heavy dose of good-old fashioned lust to become one of music’s biggest stars. He debuted in 1992 fronting the new jack-style band Public Announcement; the album, Born Into the ‘90s produced a couple of hits, including “Honey Love,” but it was only a taste of what was to come. Kelly shed his backing group the next year for 12 Play, his official solo debut, and watched it go through the roof on the back of the monster singles “Sex Me (Parts I & II”) and “Bump ‘N’ Grind.” Those tune and others (such as “I Like the Crotch on You”) also helped introduce Kelly’s ultra-libidinous image, which didn’t take a hit even when it was learned he’d wed teen protégé Aaliyah in 1994. After being tapped to produce a song (the smash “You Are Not Alone”) for Michael Jackson’s HIStory album in 1995, Kelly came back with the simply-titled R. Kelly the same year; it featured more horndoggin’, but also a healthy dose of gospel. That influence featured on “I Believe I Can Fly,” a song from the 1996 Space Jam soundtrack that collected multiple Grammies for Kelly. When he returned in 1998, his new album was even more compactly-titled (just R.) but was actually a double-disc set filled with laments about the price of stardom and, of course, a fair number of bedroom moaners. Kelly’s long-awaited fifth disc, Tp2.com, shipped in November 2000, and its title and contents referenced a back-to-basics recasting of his breakthrough, sex-charged effort, 12 Play.

R. Kelly Fiesta (Remix, Feat. Jay Z) LiquidAudio R&B
Crooner Kelly teams with hip-hop mainstay Jay-Z over a Latin music track, complete with acoustic guitars and congas. Now, that's "urban" music. The good news? It works!

R. Kelly I Wish WinMedia R&B
Mr. Kelly trades the bedroom for autobiography on this lightweight, cliché-ridden track. Hey R., bring back the songs about bonin’!
