Welcome !
    Dr. Didg
Weaving a unique tapestry of funk, world, and trance, Dr. Didg (a.k.a. Dr. Graham Wiggins) has breathed new life into the popularity of the didgeridoo. The UK-based trio’s name is derived from a nickname given to Graham when he was testing out the didgeridoo in the physics lab. Wiggins has studied with the Aboriginal masters in Australia, and has written extensively on the physics of the instruments sound (he holds a Ph.D. in physics from Oxford). After the breakup of the group Outback, Wiggins and Ian Campbell formed Dr. Didg in 1993 after finding their sound at a jam session in Glastonbury. Joined by guitarist Mark Revell, the group released it’s first album, Out of the Woods, in 1995, and followed up with Serotonality in 1998. The studio releases showcase Graham’s affinity for “live-sampling”, or performing a repeating riff on the didgeridoo, sampling it and looping it, layering sounds on top.

2000 saw Graham relocating from England to Boston, MA, where he put together a new band featuring drummer Scott Eisenberg and guitarist Todd Wright. The group continues to tour in America and Europe.

Dr. Didg Devon Jam (Live) MP3 Jambands
You don’t have to travel all the way to Australia to get a taste of the outback! Dr. Didg is in, and he’s servin’ up the funky, “trance-&-mental” sounds of the didgeridoo on this spacey jam.
