Welcome !
    The Distillers
If you believe that the Distillers only got signed to Epitaph's Hellcat subsidiary because their frontwoman, Brody, is married to the guy that runs the label, Rancid's Tim Armstrong, you haven't heard them play. Though the band has only been around since Thanksgiving of '98, their authentically crusty sound is true to the roots of punk rock, and the members are all hardcore punk scene vets. Brody did time in Sourpuss back in her native Australia, well before meeting and marrying Armstrong, while drummer Mat Young is a former member of the Adz, Combine them with the fierce guitar of Rose Casper and the bass rumble and pure attitude of Kim Chi, and you've got a band that's the sum of their influences -- most notably, the Plasmatics' Wendy O. Williams, Patti Smith, and the Circle Jerks -- and then some. Gigs with the likes of X, the Dwarves, Rocket From the Crypt, and U.S. Bombs helped establish the band before they signed up with Hellcat for 2000's self-titled debut. Next up for the band, tours with AFI and H2O, with adulation from punks everywhere sure to follow.

The Distillers Oh Serena MP3 Punk
If Joan Jett and Rancid crashed a party at Blondie's house, it'd probably sound a lot like this -- a crusty hardcore thrash with an unforgettable chorus!
