Swingin' Utters
A Clash-influenced quartet from the San Francisco area, The Swingin' Utters have been playing in one incarnation or another since the late '80s, when vocalist Johnny "Peebucks" Bonnel and drummer Greg McEntee got together to play punk rock covers in their hometown of Santa Cruz. The current lineup, which includes guitarists Darius Koski and Max Huber and bassist Spike Slawson, has been in place since the early '90s; they released their full-length debut, the Lars Fredericksen-produced The Streets Of San Francisco in 1994. Since then, the group has toured Europe opening for Rancid, and criss-crossed the US numerous times on their own. The band's self-titled third album was released in late 2000 on Fat Wreck Chords. |
