Drunk Horse
Hailing from the rock n' roll hotbed of Oakland, CA, these four riders of the Electric Apocalypse exist solely for the avowed purpose of "rocking your shit to the ground." Heavily influenced by early ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones, Drunk Horse consists of guitarist/vocalist Eli Eckert (who claims to have been "the guy who was in the emergency room when Richard Gere came in with that gerbil stuck in his ass"), guitarist John Niles, bassist Cyrus Comiskey, and drummer Cripe Jergensen. The band's self-titled first album was released in 1999 on Man's Ruin; their follow-up, Tanning Salon/Biblical Proportions, is set for release on the same label in March 2001. Drunk Horse also covered "Kings & Queens" on 2000's Right In The Nuts: A Tribute To Aerosmith. |
