Bombshell Rocks
Late in 1995, singer Mårten, guitarists Sami and Richard, bassist Mini, and drummer Chrille formed the punk rock band Bombshell Rocks in their hometown of Västerås, Sweden. Chrille’s tenure would be short-lived, however, as he quit the band – to focus on skateboarding – before the band could self-release their first EP, Who’s the Real Bastard?. Thomas took his place, but before the band could release another single, Sami also departed, and was replaced with a different Thomas for 1998’s Underground Radio. Bombshell’s first full-length release, Street Art Gallery, followed in 1999, and was picked up for distribution in the US by dominant punk label Epitaph, home of the band’s most obvious inspirations, Rancid. By the release of City Rats and Alley Cats early in 2001, the revolving door had turned once more and both guitarists Thomas and Richard had departed, replaced by Crippe and Ola. |
