Welcome !
    Tom Waits
Waits emerged from Southern California in the early 70’s, just as the Golden State became the hub of polished pop-rock. But while Waits was covered by The Eagles ("Ol' 55"), his gruff, theatrical voice and fascination with society's down-and-outers were worlds away from his Asylum labelmates' smooth stories of life in the fast lane. A string of recordings, including the 1975 double-album Nighthawks At The Diner, won Waits a loyal following, and his cinematic career, which included an acting stint in Paradise Alley and an Academy Award-nominated score for Francis Ford Coppola's One From The Heart, heightened his profile. The 1980’s produced two of Waits' best-known works on Island Records: the adventurous Swordfishtrombones in 1983, and the seminal Rain Dogs two years later. He also continued to act, both in films (Rumble Fish, Ironweed) and on stage (Frank's Wild Years, a play he co-wrote with his wife, Kathleen Brennan). After a long musical hiatus, Waits re-emerged in 1992 with Bone Machine, which won a Grammy for Best Alternative Album. He also made some more notable film appearances in old pal Coppola's Bram Stoker’s Dracula and Robert Altman's Short Cuts. After the release of an Island retrospective, Beautiful Maladies, Waits broke another long musical silence in 1999 with a new album, Mule Variations.

Tom Waits Buzz Fledderjon LiquidAudio,MP3 Alternative, Rock
Waits, a story teller at heart, once again reveals the depths of the Delta Blues in this rare b-side, "Buzz Fledderjon." His raspy, gritty vocals blend seamlessly into the slide guitar as he paints a picture of paranoia for the listener.

Tom Waits Hold On LiquidAudio,MP3 Alternative, Rock
Who knew that Waits could resemble Springsteen? Well, in this track he does, and in a splendid manner. Downloading this will give you two artists in one song. What more could you ask for?
