Welcome !
    Bobby Rush
Though he tends to be classified as a purveyor of "Soul Blues," Bobby Rush prefers to call his music "Folk-Funk." Born November 10, 1940 in Homer, Louisiana, Bobby moved with his family to Chicago in the mid-50s, and received his musical education on the city's West Side blues circuit. Originally a fairly conventional blues singer and harmonica player, Bobby found a greater audience once he gravitated towards raunchier, more soul-oriented material. His live shows still pack plenty of bluesy punch, however, and he's received many "Outstanding Live Performer" awards from prominent blues publications.

Bobby Rush Blues Medley (Live) WinMedia Blues, R&B
A most blues-wailin' harp solo from the King of "Folk-Funk".
