Sebastian Bach
Back in the days when hair-metal dinosaurs like Poison and Britny Fox stalked the land, Skid Row sold 20 million records by successfully combining the rebellious, hard-edged attitude of Guns 'N Roses with the pop savvy of Bon Jovi. The New Jersey quintet was led by Sebastian Bach, an androgynously pretty (and really friggin' angry) young gentleman who regularly proved his manhood onstage by wearing homophobic t-shirts, attacking concert security guards, and blindly whipping liquor bottles into the audience. Alas, his antics did little to win new friends, and Skid Row's fortunes declined drastically with the coming of Grunge. The band broke up after the release of 1995's Subhuman Race. Over the last few years, Bach has played virtually every rock dive in the continental US; he's recently released Bring 'Em Bach Alive, a mixture of new studio tracks and live favorites from his Skid Row days. |
