Radar This 19-year-old West Coast musician combines a love of the ancient (he's a devout Buddhist) with true whiz-kid credentials as a computer science student turned cutting-edge DJ. Signed up by San Francisco electronica label Om Records, Radar will be featured on Om's Deep Concentration, Vol. 3 compilation, the youngest DJ to be so honored. His striking debut, "Radar Frees Tibet," owes something to his Buddhist leanings: it was inspired by an encounter Radar had with several formerly imprisoned monks, whom he met a Bay area Tibetan Freedom concert in 1995. |
