Guitarist Jon Wood, bassist Mike Petrella and drummer Mikey Barnstein began playing together in early 1998, cramming themselves and their equipment into an 8x10 room in Barnstein's townhouse. Influenced by Phish, the Meters, Dave Brubeck, Herbie Hancock and the Grateful Dead, the band's avowed mission is to combine jazz, funk, blues and rock influences "with a Swamp Dog twist."     Swamp Dog Sleep MP3 Jambands A competent but fairly generic jam band workout, marked by an abundance of flashy chops and a couple of cool psychedelic passages.
