Welcome !
    Jucifer
Like many great bands, Jucifer came into its own by making a virtue out of necessity. Formed as a conventional guitar-bass-drums trio in 1994, the Athens, Georgia band morphed into a duo, when their drummer suddenly decamped. Rather than drafting a new sticksman, singer-guitarist Amber Valentine persuaded bassist Ed Livengood to switch to drums. Once he learned the basics, he developed a spectacularly visual style, full of thrashing yet fluid vitality. With Valentine’s unorthodox guitar style and Livengood’s newfound percussion prowess, Jucifer was good to go. The duo released its debut, Calling All Cars on the Vegas Strip in the summer of 1998 on its own label, Crack Rock Records. For the next year and a half, Valentine and Livengood concentrated on honing their incendiary live shows, eventually securing a deal from Capricorn Records. The label re-mastered Calling All Cars and re-issued it in January, 2000.
