Santana started his career working on mix production and editing; by the beginning of the '90s, he'd been turned on to acid house and rave music. He went on to head up several mix albums for Moonshine Music, such as Tricked Out (1997), Hardhop Tricked Out (1998) and Battle for Planet of the Breaks (1999).
