Another rap-rock band to rise out of Southern California's Orange County, (hed) P.E. was formed in 1994 by vocalist Jahred and guitarist Wesstyle, both of whom were regular fixtures at O.C. punk and hip-hop shows. Together with guitarist Chizad, bassist Mawk, drummer B.C., and turntablist D.J. Product, the pair began playing shows in the Los Angeles area, and (hed) P.E. -- the last two initials stand for "Planet Earth" -- released their debut EP in 1995. A self-titled full-length CD followed in 1997; their next record, Broke, was released in the spring of 2000.     (hed) P.E.
