Welcome !
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Art school dropout Nicholas Edward Cave founded the Birthday Party in 1980, a raw-boned blues band that was at stark odds with the cutesy plastic pop of the time, and quickly became an underground sensation. Almost immediately, the band moved from its native Australia to London, where it had a huge impact on the post-punk musical landscape. In 1983, the Birthday Party disintegrated acrimoniously; Cave formed the eclectic Bad Seeds a short time later, continuing his association with Birthday Party guitarist Blixa Bargeld. The Seeds music offered a dark and unflinching view of personal chaos and turmoil – their seminal first album, From Her To Eternity, was released in 1984. By 1988, Nick Cave had released several albums, published a book of lyrics (King Ink), a novel (And The Ass Saw The Angel) and taken his Bad Seeds through a much-ballyhooed appearance in the Wim Wenders film Wings of Desire. The ‘90s saw the advent of Cave’s best, and most accessible work, particularly The Good Son (1990), Henry’s Dream (1992), Let Love In (1994), and Murder Ballads (1996). The Boatman’s Call, Cave’s tenth album with the Seeds, was released in 1997. In the interim, Cave has been concentrating on solo work, scoring a critical hit with the spoken word/music disc The Secret Life of the Love Song / The Flesh Made Word in 1999.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Red Right Hand WinMedia Alternative
The only possible excuse for not downloading this classic Cave jam right this sec is … well, there IS no excuse. In a stellar supernova where Clint Eastwood, Johnny Cash, and Tom Waits collide, the only survivor is a mysterious stranger with a “Red Right Hand.”
