Face To Face
Southern California punk rockers Face to Face formed in 1991 on the heels of the seminal ‘80s punk scene that spawned Black Flag and X (well, ok they’re actually from Victorville, but let’s not get sidetracked). Quickly signed to the Dr. Strange label the next year, the band released their first album Don’t Turn Away in 1992. Starting off as a three piece, the band decided to add a back-up vocalist and guitarist in the person of Chad Yuro, and the group arrived at the hard-core, yet melodic sound that led to the local KROQ hit “Disconnected.” That song and six other tracks made up the EP Over It, released in 1994. “Disconnected” was re-recorded for A&M records and included on Big Choice, the group’s first and only dalliance with the majors. In 1999, Face to Face released an album on their own label, Lady Luck, Ignorance Is Bliss. Reactionary hit the shelves in 2000. Current band members are Trever Keith (vocals, guitar), Pete Parada (drums), Scott Shiflett (bass, backing vocals) and Chad Yaro (guitar, backing vocals). |

Raging punk rhythm backs famous So-Cal punks Face to Face on this very cool paean to something we can all relate to -- those pesky dashed dreams. “Disappointed” proves that the rumors of punk’s death have been greatly exaggerated.
